The Assessment Student Leader supports our work by gathering and assessing information to better inform day-to-day operations. This involves assisting with various stages of the administration’s assessment projects. Under the primary supervision of the Associate Director for Operations Management and secondary supervision of the Director, the Assessment Student Leader coordinates assessment project support, consults relevant scholarly research to guide our assessment practices, and conducts ongoing analysis of tutoring appointments and patterns in demand and usage of our services.

✨ Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with administrators to complete assessment projects (50%)
  • Break down the project into obtainable tasks using benchmarks
  • Check-in to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct data analysis to understand assessment results
Analyze appointment and other usage data (30%)
  • Work with Director to define research questions and methods about appointment usage
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of specific research questions
  • Produce reports about finding in a timely fashion, as defined in collaboration with the Director
Engage with research literature relevant to assessment (10%)
  • Find scholarly research relevant to specific assessment projects
  • Summarize research findings, theoretical concepts, and/or methodological approaches when relevant, as defined in collaboration with supervisor(s)
Perform other leadership duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Operations Management (10%)
