Under the supervision of the Writing Center Director, the Publications Student Leader manages, generates content for, and maintains two publications:
- UCWbLing, our blog
- The Orange Couch, our literary journal
✨ Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Generate UCWbLing content (2-4 posts/week during WQ + SQ) (35%)
- Solicit tutors to submit blog posts on a variety of topics
- Copyedit submitted posts
- Write for various UCWbLing sections, filling in content gaps
Maintain UCWbLing’s WordPress website (35%)
- Publish content regularly, ensuring balance among categories and sections, implementing the UCWbLing Guidelines
- Troubleshoot technical difficulties
- Analyze blog’s traffic and strategize ways to promote readership
- Propose and implement web design changes (optional)
Oversee development and publication of the Writing Center’s annual literary magazine The Orange Couch (30%)

The Orange Couch Guidelines
- Revise and update The Orange Couch Guidelines as necessary
